The valve and manifold system controls flow direction, maintains separate circuits, where and when required, and controls pressures. Sealing connections associated with valves and manifolds is a basic requirement to keep such a system operational and functional, as leaks and transport, losses affect not only volumes, but also the system and pressure control effectiveness. Valves in natural gas service leak for a variety of reasons, wear and tear, damage to internal seat sealing elements and often this damage is related to the fact that most natural gas is dehydrated. This has a drying effect on the valve seals and causes further leakage to occur.
Most commercial sealants contain hydrocarbon-based oils these oils are removed when they contact the dry natural gas and the leaching action leaves only the thickening agents in the valve and injections fittings. This often plugs the lubrication pathways preventing further injection.
Upstream natural gas liquids are solvent to most hydrocarbon-based greases and under pressure; this flushes most grease into the gas flow, allowing gas to leak through valve stems and fittings. The lack of lubrication also contributes to the valve seat damage and the resulting valve seat failure is often a major source of flare and venting gas emissions


Our fee is $5.00 U.S. over the cost of each tonne created.

Our cost would be 5 million dollars to administrate and produce the credits, the total being 15 million dollars or 15.00 a tonne cost.
